Description:
This predominantly creamy ivory seal is carved with a lotus leaf which flows across the face of the stone, another smaller leaf billows on the back. There is also a rosy hue to this stone at the top which is where the detailed lotus flower is etched on the left side. The stems for the flower and leaves extend out of rippling waves of water. The smooth rounded top shows the moon at its fullest.
Symbolic Meaning:
The lotus is a symbol of purity and holiness and is sacred in China. Waves of water often symbolize success and happiness. The moon in Chinese symbolism is female or Empress.
